Miscellaneous Rituals

Implant Thought
Complex Ritual. Study time: days; 1D10 SAN. Activation: an hour; varying POW, 1D6 SAN
This ritual acts as a permanent version of Infallible Suggestion. The operator chants mantras in a forgotten language and invokes the name of Tsathoggua while repeatedly writing the intended command, all in a dimly lit room filled with incense fumes. The operator can choose to invest any amount of POW into the chosen phrase. Once the ritual is completed, one specific instance of the phrase chosen by the operator is enchanted to implant a predetermined  thought or command in the mind of targets. If an operator knows the ritual and has access to an already enchanted phrase, they can replicate it for only 1 POW, regardless of what the original operator sacrificed.
When someone encounters a phrase enchanted by the ritual, they have to roll an opposed POWx5 test against the POW invested by the original operator. Upon a success, nothing happens, though encountering a different instance of the same phrase can trigger the roll again. If they fail, they are compelled to obey the command or incorporate the thought into their own belief system and always act accordingly. They can roll the opposed POWx5 test again to resist it if it causes them or their bonds direct harm or interferes with one of their motivations.

Mockingbird
Simple Ritual. Study time: hours; 1D4 SAN. Activation: one turn. 1D4 WP, 1 SAN.
The caster calls upon the Bloody Tongue in an unknown language. For the next turn, they are able to perfectly mimic any sounds they have heard before. Particularly distressing sounds, like cries of pain in a bond's voice, can cause 0/1 SAN Loss from Helplessness if the target does not see the source. This can also trigger the Lygirophobia disorder or Suppression rules in the case of sounds of a violent firefight or artillery.

Sacrifice In Honor Of Our Lord The Flayed
Simple Ritual. Study time: days, 1D6 SAN. Activation: two turns. 16 WP, varying HP, 1D10 SAN.
This ritual involves an invocation of Xipe Totec, "Our Lord The Flayed". The operator chants an invocation in Nahuatl (understanding of the language is not required, but pronunciation must be correct) and ritually bleeds themselves on a corn husk and empty snakeskin. For every point of HP spent in this sacrifice, the ritual gains 2% Lethality. No one can provide the blood except the operator. If the ritual operator manages to complete this process without disturbance, one target of their choosing within sight suffers the Lethality roll. If they are killed instantly (Lethality succeeds OR damage is equal or greater to their HP), their skin comes clean off and a wriggling, flayed corpse is left in their place. If they survive the initial Lethality, their epidermis comes off in shreds and scraps, leaving sections of their flesh red and raw. They suffer an additional 1 damage for every turn (or minute if out of combat) they are exposed like this until they can be brought to safety and receive medical attention, which may or may not save them.
